This whale-sized sculpture was commissioned by the Millbrook Meadow in Rockport, Massachusetts, and it is carved from Rockport’s very own granite. It serves the double function of being an ornamental piece as well as a play sculpture for children.

Millie the Whale is a stone sculpture of a Humpback Whale created from a large chunk of granite from one of the historic quarries of Rockport /Massachusetts - on old granite quarrying town. It is installed in Millbrook park, after which the local children named the whale.
